Great basic phone for the price.

Before I begin, be aware that I activated this phone on a prepaid plan ($35 for the initial prepaid minutes) and then Immediately transferred it to my monthly plan to replace my 11 year old phone that doesn't support VoLTE based phone calls. Verizon does this all the time and in my case, gave me a *limited* monthly reduction on my plan as a way to more than offset the prepaid plan $35 cost needed to activate the phone. That said, here we go... It does the basics such as phone, text, email, pictures, video, light gaming, and internet (by cell tower or home wifi) just fine. Consider purchasing extra batteries and a battery charger though. The battery life is nothing stellar but having a swappable battery compartment means I can flip out a drained battery and be back up and running with a ...

    phone doesnt work correctly

Will not connect to mobile data. We took it to a verizon store, called tech support 3 times and bought a new sim card. Mobile data will not work. It only works on wifi. Phone is pretty useless unless its on wifi. Not happy at all! We bought this because my husband is a medic and needs communication.

  • Excellent for the price!

So far so good! Replacing aged Samsung S3 mini that was failing...Other reviews said that screen resolution wasn't the best but I didn't buy it to watch HD Video, even though I couldn't really tell that much difference. It is super fast with the GPS Tracking Apps that I use cycling, and the operating system modern enough to accept any apps that I need. The battery on this one lasts way longer than my old phone too!

  • A budget device that doesn't lag

I bought this to replace my laggy galaxy note 4. It was a breath of fresh air. Long battery life and super responsive. The only con for me was the low resolution screen is a bit hard to see in direct sunlight but for the price I can live with that. ZTE is good about keeping the bloat ware to a minimum. Verizon isn't but there weren't too many to clean up. The NFL app was the first to go. I've had this a few weeks and everything seems real smooth. Google maps works really good. I would buy this one again or similar device.

  • ZTE Z839PP Blade Vantage Verizon Prepaid 4G LTE, -just what I needed

I was looking for an affordable phone that does wifi calling. A refurbished Verizon ZTE was low cost and easy to set up. I don't do heavy-duty videos and photos - just calls, Gmail and Facebook. I'd recommend it.
