The Citizen BM7170-53L watch is made of titanium for lightness and the rich, appealing look that men can appreciate. Its total weight is 11.2 ounces. The round, solid, screw back case is 43 millimeters in diameter and 12 millimeters thick, which makes it substantial yet understated. The bracelet is also titanium. It is 26 millimeters wide and fastens with a fold over, push button clasp. The clasp has a safety feature, so the watch can not fall off your wrist if it is accidentally unfastened. The Citizen Eco-Drive titanium watches do not require batteries. These watches have Japanese quartz movement that is powered by either natural or artificial light. The light charges a power cell in the case that can last the life of the watch. The power cell is fully charged after 11 hours of exposure to light. When fully charged, the watch can run for 180 days on this power reserve, even if it is stored in the dark during that time. The Eco-Drive feature was pioneered by Citizen to make their watches accessible to citizens of the world. Eco-Drive can make these watches an ideal choice for men who live or frequently travel in areas that may not have access to specialized batteries. As long as you can expose the watch to light, the battery can never run down. The deep blue dial on this Citizen watch for men can be the perfect complement to its titanium case. The watch has a subtle honeycomb pattern in the center of the face for an extra touch of style. The dial is analog with three silver tone hands. It has a minimalist look with stick hour markers in place of numbers. There are thin lines to mark the seconds around the rim of the dial. The hour and minute hands and the hour markers are luminous, so you can check the time even in dim light. A small window at the 3 o’clock position shows the day of the month with a black number on a white background. The case is rimmed by a smooth fixed bezel, and it is capped with a sapphire window. The sapphire crystal material is anti reflective, which allows you to see the face even in bright sunlight or a harsh glare. It is also hard and scratch resistant, so these accessories can handle all the small bumps and scrapes that life throws their way.     Perfect uncomplicated no-nonsense watch.

    Very handsome no-nonsense watch. I am replacing a similar watch that is at least 15+ years old because I have gained a lot of weight and broke the band. Be sure to keep the extra links so that yours will last 20+ years. I have a leather band on the old watch so it still works but I prefer a titanium band. No other repairs were necessary.

    You'll never need another watch!

    The Citizen Eco Drive is one of the best movements made and trouble free for years. This model is titanium which is very light on the wrist but twice the strength of steel and no de-plating or deterioration whatsoever!
