    The price is right, but look elsewhere if you want lightweight management.

    Very difficult to manage - totally frustrating. You can't manage direct from a browser interface without loading the UniFi controller software, which runs on your local machine. The Controller software appears to be very powerful, but is also very confusing. I've spent hours just trying to get the switch to communicate with the controller software without success.

    Great on paper

    This is my first unifi switch. I am EXTREMELY in impressed with the unifi software and total lack of features from what is supposed to be an enterprise switch. Look into running DHCP on one vlan and having clients in another. This is extremely common but for unifi to support this, you have to manually create and edit a default provisioning file on the unifi server. Had I and I realized how deficient this product was I would have bought the edge switch.

    Just what I was looking for

    This was a perfect companion to my Unifi US24G1. The four RJ45 ports allow a 4 port LACP trunk between the two switches. Because it was open box, I did have to reset it to factory defaults before my controller was able to adopt it. I am very pleased with how it fits into my homelab.

    Ubiquiti Rocks!

    This was my first step in to setting up 10G in my home. The US-16-XG was a breeze to setup and configure. I had absolutely no issue, but that is par for the course for Ubiquiti products. I own several Ubiquiti Unifi products including the UDM Pro, and I have never had a problem with any of them.
