The television comedy M*A*S*H debuted in 1972. In the process of becoming one of the most successful and beloved programs in TV history, it completely reinvented situation comedies. Based on Robert Altman's hit film, the sitcom ran for an astonishing 11 years. This three-disc set features the first 24 episodes of the historic program and is the complete collection of the legendary first season. Episodes include "Chief Surgeon Who?" "The Ringbanger" with Leslie Nielsen, and, perhaps the most groundbreaking episode, "The Moose." The line between comedy and drama has never been so delicately tread upon as in the series of the 4077th military medical hospital.

      M*A*S*H Season 1 DVDs

      We want to have the complete M*A*S*H television series, and have a couple of the seasons already. We have always enjoyed the series, partly because of all the laughter we have from watching it, but partly because it gives a decent picture of war. Our daughter-in-law is Vietnamese, and her Father fought in Vietnam, so we always think of them when we're watching the show, even though it was based on the Korean War. This first season is good, of course, but you can definitely see a difference in how comfortable everyone is on the show, and the quality of the show seeming "real", with whatever the theme is at the time. It's a part of the series, so it's a "must buy", but it may not be watched as much as other seasons.

      MASH DVD

      I loved MASH when I was growing up. My Dad had been in the Army and used to compare the show to real life. I once taped a MASH marathon for my 10 year old son and he literally wore the tapes out. He's on his own now{23 years old} and bought the full set of MASH dvds. It reminds him of his Pap who is gone now. I bought the DVDs because they're like a comfort thing they remind me of my Dad too. I have found that my 6 year old daughter also loves these episodes.
