    when a lens is a lens

    As far as I'm concerned Zooms don't cut it and it's very much a case of close enough is good enough. This lens with it's numerable talents makes up for all those disappointments. If your a people or single object shooter you can't do better, it's simply that good. Clean sharp and accurate don't do it justice , beautiful, close. The loss of depth of field is more than compensated by the picture quality, a few steps back wont be too much trouble to fit in what you want. For me above this focal length things start to move about hand held but with this little beauty that long shot can be reasonably blown up and cropped to your liking. If your not getting in there with that 50mm or standard lens this one is worth the expense in my view. Verrry nice! Jn
