I call MI-5 the "Thinking Persons 24." This is a BBC show that airs under the title "Spooks" in the UK. I think the acting is excellent, the stories move fast as a whip and are very topical. Its kind of a UK combination of Law and Order and 24, tracking the lives of British spies working for their government's secret service, MI-5. If you want to get into this series, start with Volume 1. Volume 4 picks right up where Vol. 3 leaves off, but as usual, the ensemble cast goes through some changes throughout the season. This is great TV.
What can be said about this incredible international espionage series that hasn't been already acclaimed by the top critics accross this globe. MI-5, a true part of the world of British intel that curtails rouge spys and terrorism in all forms comes to life in this SMASH hit series. It has an insight to the seemingly boring clerical side that makes that interesting to the underworld back story where sometimes you are almost sucked into a Stöckholm syndrome emotion. The high tech elements and the daring, say dashing way the writers combine personal human interest with saving prime ministers from being blown up is "par excelánce", at ther time of filming none was better in the world. A true cult following still exsits fot this 10 year series. People die, sometimes gruesome deaths, be it a terrorist or an agent thay you've come to know and love, tis the way of the underbelly in an attempt to save the world on a weekly basis. Here! Here! Hats Off to the BBC once again🇬🇧-!Read full review

Well written, characters are believable, stories are gripping and hold your attention from beginnibng to end. .So typical of BBC programming. I find that I watch almost zero US programs.
