I was not a fan of how the story is written.

It did not appeal to me but others in my book club really enjoyed it. I could not get into it. The way it reads seemed odd to me. Unlike a story.

  • Great book

This is a difficult read, but worth the effort. A real "brain gym". In future, though, I will stick to printed books. This one is too hard to read on screen.

fascinating book about Lincoln and a his boys death - although it is about much more but I won't ruin it. Worth the time and sometimes funny enjoyed it

  • Lincoln

Having read all the other Bookers this was somewhat a different concept to the rest. I liked the book but I wouldn't put it in my top 5 of bookers . Regards

  • Reminds me of Brautigan

Man, I like George Saunders. It's like "Spoon River Anthology" via "In Watermelon Sugar." He's good at wrangling a narrative gimmick so well that a few pages in you're having genuine human emotions and completely forgetting about any weirdness that got you there.
