I am 58 yrs. old Iknow everybody is crazy about dvd's yet the vhs movies are simple to use for the elderly and for folks with health issues as myself. They don't skip around and are not delicate for handling by feeble fingers. I realise we are consumed with perfect picture quality but I have spoken to many retired folks who had a son install a dvd player thinking he did his dad or mom a favor yet these folks when asked, many could not handle the over engineered complexity of the dvd process. In addition,if they take the dvd out half way through the film to watch the news or go to bed they don't understand how to get to the tract of the dvd and locate the scene they stopped at. Yea I know, the dvd should have been left in place yet many folks as my wife and I, turn off the power switch at ... Prince Feisal (Alec Guinness), the leader of the Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire Turks, is willing for the time being to allow his tribal army to become just another branch of the British forces. Lawrence had a desk job in Cairo, but was assigned by his civilian boss of the Arab Bureau, Dryden (Claude Rains), as an observer to spy on the Arab rebellion. Lawrence soon becomes the messianic leader of the Arabs. He's determined to have the rival Arab tribes unite and wishes to prevent the Arabs from falling under British colonial domination. He and the Bedouin chief Sherif Ali (Omar Sharif)--whom is splendidly introduced by 'the mirage shot' as a tiny dot on the desert horizon that steadily enlarges--and 50 Arab men, cross the difficult Nefud Desert and join forces with their ... A MASTERPIECE!!! -- TOP AFI 10 BEST MOVIES
One of my alltime favorites! This movie is a classic must see. Peter O'Toole's portrayel of Lawrence's descent into madness is one of his best acting jobs ever. Turn on the surround sound and pop the popcorn.

Me & My Grandmother love this movie Lawrence of Arabia on VHS & i threw it away by mistake & i had it on VHS That time, i'm glad i'm getting it back Now on VHS. & I Won't be throwing it away this time. :)
