About this product

Product Information

Enjoy the versatility and simplicity of the Verizon LG VX8300 cell phone. The device has a handsome display that is easy to read, a keypad with comfortable keys, and a long-lasting lithium-ion 1100 milliampere-hours battery. The battery gives you up to three hours of call time and up to 384 hours of idle time, so you do not need to bring the right chargers with you everywhere you go. Its 2.2-inch LCD display has a resolution of 176x220 pixels. The device supports a microSD memory card. The LG VX8300 has all the right basic features of a mobile phone without the touchscreen display or the other fancy features you get with more expensive smartphones, like the Apple iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. The LG VX8300 is designed to be a reliable mobile phone that easily connects to wireless networks that will not drop your call unexpectedly. The LG VX8300’s compact, durable clamshell case offers the right protection, securing the screen from scratches and damage all while protecting the keypad. This prevents situations, such as a house key in your pocket mistakenly making a phone call, but once you open the device, its useful features are only a keystroke away. You can use the phone on speaker or connect to Bluetooth. Enjoy the opportunity of carrying up to 500 contacts wherever you travel. Its 1.3MP camera takes high-quality pictures. You are able to use GPS and the Internet on the phone to always stay on the right track. As for how the Verizon VX8300 compares to other models of cell phones, it works just as well with Bluetooth and Verizon wireless as Samsung, Motorola, and T-Mobile phones and the Apple iPhone. The VX8300 has a basic cell phone keypad, allowing you to type text messages and send picture messages to friends and family. The basic keypad and a few additional keys above the nine numerical keys let you scroll through and select anything since each key has several functions. In that regard, it is similar to the flip phones of the previous decade, but the Verizon VX8300

LG VX8300 Verizon Wireless Cell Flip Phone

I bought this phone for a friend that has a vision disability and is legally blind. They are very pleased with the phone since it has voice commands in order to make calls.

  • Top critical review

    Disapointed..

The phone doesn't work properly. I got it for my grandmother who doesn't know how to use phones. Unfortunalty you can only hear people when it's on speaker. Ofcourse if the speaker button is accidently pushed, my grandma doesn't know how to turn it back on even though ive showed her a million times. Im scared that will happen if there's an emergency, I won't know what's going on. I bought her a new working phone... Sucks I waisted money

  • Nothing special

I got this phone brand new with the renew every 2 program from Verizon. It replaced an LG vx 4500 that is over 2 years old(And has even been through a wash and rinse cycle in a washer). All bells and whistles aside, the 2 year old VX4500 LG phone is far superior to the VX8300 or any other current phone offered by Verizon for simply making a phone call.(Isn't that why we have cell phones for in the first place?)The Crystal clear sound quality of the earpiece, and its volume are untouchable, especially if there is a lot of ambient noise). The VX8300 excels ever so slightly in the area of reception; mainly when operating on the PCS band. I personally do not like the front display on the newer phones either, because they go blank after the preset time, just so they have the ability to display ...

  • DURABLE PHONE

I have the chocolate touch now, but this was a review of my once-owned LG VX8300 phone, it was initially posted on phonescoop. I give this phone a 3.5 because it was durable. The phone was cool, and I got the new Boulder to replace it (since replaced that as well, and this phone has stood up well. The phone has been thrown at walls, it even was drowned in a cannoeing tipover and it still works, occasionally the screen would have lines in it and you couldnt see any thing you'd take out the battery and it would still work, despite all of that damage the phone has still worked and the battery is still ok, I have had 3 of these. This was the first one. The second one got thrown and smashed off the side of the phone i mean like the speaker on the side and smashed the screen, oh and it was not ...

  • Works but only for the basics, mediocre battery life, not great for MP3

Got this phone to carry me until my Verizon plan ends and I can switch without paying termination fees. It's a rather simple phone and many things don't work anymore. Anything with "Get It Now" won't work due to Verizon having made changes to the system (and that DOES mean no backup assistant restore of your contacts). Battery life is ok, a little over a day, nothing to write home about nor to really cry about. Another beef is that the headphone plug is non-standard 3.5mm so you have to get a special set of headphones to use the MP3 functions. Basically, it's an old phone that used to be good and that now gets the job done in terms of calling and texting.
