    Marco Polo

    We purchased the DVD because my wife wanted to see a movie depiction of the story of Marco Polo, about whom she had done some reading. The movie was disappointing for several reasons. It was too long, and the story line dragged. Having Brian Dennehy play Kublai Khan was a mis-cast of the first order. The role should have been played by a Chinese or Mongol actor; one suspects Dennehy was cast merely for name attraction. The acting by the Chinese actors was good, but many of the Occidental actors were stilted. Don't believe we will be purchasing any more docu-dramas.

    Marco Polo [DVD, 2007]

    My family and I watched the tail end of this film on TV and wanted to see the entire film. After I purchased it we watched it from it's start. We thought the acting was good! The photography was very good and the pagentry was excellent. The film was a little long but enjoyed it till it's end. This film now has a permanent place in our DVD library.

    an Interesting look at Marco Polo's history (if this story is true even if parts are) Love ian Somerhalder (just hate that fake beard!!) Costumes are great

    maro pole

    if you love ian somerhalder and love history, this is a movie to watch. i never wanted it to end. i am always interested in history and what people went trough. this movie gave me all the info i need to learn about marco polo. the cast was great and the story was beautiful.
