Just the extra boost needed
I live in Panama, Central America, at the edge of the grid and with another outside Wilson amplifier, I was just a tad shy of getting decent service, but this amplifier, in conjunction with my other one, has helped me get the little extra boost needed. I had borrowed the same one from a neighbor for a year or so, and decided finally to get my own! Hoped for so much more...
I bought this because I live in a rural remote area without high-speed internet service like cable or DSL. I have been using a Sprint Broad band card with a grandfathered data plan that is Unlimited. I use about 30-50 GB a month thru it for netflix, etc, driving internet, roku's etc. I hoped this would boost my 3G signal and speeds. I will say it has been modest to negligible at best. I already have an external antenna in my window that boosted the built in antenna of the modem 3 fold. I hoped for better with this, but connections are maybe 20% better at most. A bit more consistent but not a lot more. Thankfully I didn't pay Hundreds for a new one to find this out. FYI, these things get VERY WARM.
