This holiday-themed compilation from Echo Bridge Entertainment presents seven Christmas-themed television episodes from the 1950s, culled from different television sources. It includes: a 1953 episode of FOUR STAR PLAYHOUSE entitled THE GIFT, starring Charles Boyer as a modern day Scrooge who experiences a change of heart when he witnesses a poor woman's charity to orphans; a 1955 episode of FOUR STAR PLAYHOUSE entitled THE ANSWER, with Anthony Caruso as a cynical Hollywood writer who returns to his hometown and meets a mysterious person (David Niven) who claims to know everything about him, and backs it up by reciting an entire play the scribe has written; a 1954 episode of the CBS situation comedy MEET CORLISS ARCHER called THE CHRISTMAS STORY, which finds the yuletide holiday turning comically chaotic for Corliss (Ann Baker), her boyfriend Dexter (Bobby Ellis), and their loved ones; and a 1952 episode of the CBS police drama RACKET SQUAD entitled THE CHRISTMAS CAPER, that finds Captain John Braddock (Reed Hadley attempting to protect citizens of his city from various con men who want to take advantage of their goodwill at Christmastime. The set also includes another Christmas-themed RACKET SQUAD episode from the same year, STORY OF BLESSED EXPENSE, that finds a young man named Joe and his wife trying to protect the future of their newborn baby by turning to a sketchy insurance company - with disastrous results; a 1956 episode of THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL entitled THE CHRISTMAS PRESENT, that finds Sir Percy Blakeney (Marius Goring) trying to make Christmas special for Mrs. Burton by bringing her four children to fill her home with abundant holiday cheer; and the 1955 SHERLOCK HOLMES episode THE CASE OF THE CHRISTMAS PUDDING, wherein Sherlock (Ronald Howard) must contend with the vengeance wreaked on him by psychotic criminal John Henry Norton, during the Christmas season. As an added bonus, the package also includes a Christmas album with ten sing-along holiday classics, such as "Jesus Child,", "The Holly and the Ivy," and "Sussex Carol."
