Thanks! The lock is slightly different from the original, but the original is from 12/15/71. It looks like it's going to work. I have the original that I will take to a locksmith and see if they can get it to work and find a key to make this work. I am trying to restore this to as much as the original that I can find. I appreciate you having this in-stock and shipping right away. It's a family heirloom that I look to restore and pass on to my daughter.

EBay is an EXCELLENT source for discontinued items. I brought the original piece to several locksmiths to make a key. All told me to "go to Lane for a replacement" in doing so I learned that Lane no longer exists! "Furniture-Rehab" came to the rescue with a "NEW" original lockset which came with 2 keys stamped "Lane". Fits and works perfectly!!! Thank You!.........my late Mom's cedar chest!!!!
