NFL GameDay 2001 continues Sony's football franchise on the PlayStation in this sixth installment of the series. Game commentary and play-by-play are once again handled by Phil Simms and Dick Enberg. Along with the standard modes of play, such as Preseason, Season, General Manager, and Playoffs, there is a new option to play as only one position player while the computer controls the rest of your team. General Manager continues the ability to import college players via a memory card; this time from NCAA GameBreaker 2001.

    Old like wine but not good

    It's an old game that plays like an old game. Gameday was better than Madden from 95' to 97'. After those years, Madden pulled ahead. Retro gamers would be better off with Madden 2001 rather than Gameday 2001.
