Brittle plastic
my original chassis snapped in the front where the pins hold the wheel arms, another weak point in this truck. i searched for an aluminum chassis but of course no one makes one for this vehicle, so i bought the replacement and reinforced it with a brace attached to the top plate and through the body post and attached to the front bumper assembly. this also protects the shock tower which is weakly attached to the differential. i like messing with this truck but the cheap plastics and aluminum are too much, my advice is to try and replace parts with another manufacturer and avoid any part made by redcat. my original chassis snapped in the front where the pins hold the wheel arms, another weak point in this truck. i searched for an aluminum chassis but of course no one makes one for this vehicle, so i bought the replacement and reinforced it with a brace attached to the top plate and through the body post and attached to the front bumper assembly. this also protects the shock tower which is weakly attached to the differential. i like messing with this truck but the cheap plastics and aluminum are too much, my advice is to try and replace parts with another manufacturer and avoid any part made by redcat.

Direct replacement
This is a direct replacement part. everything from my damaged chassis transferred perfectly. All of the holes and pins lined up. The chassis seams to be just as thick and ridged as the original. I recommend this part and this seller.
