The handle is much thicker than most bokken, but my Iaido sensei thought it might teach good grip. Good beginner’s bokken without having to spend a fortune and wait four months. The scabbard on the other hand is absolute trash. The bokken did not fit it by about a ft, and I needed help to get the bokken back out of it. Also, it left little plastic lines on the bokken. The scabbard reminded me of a child’s toy sword.
