Released in VHS in 1998, 'Barney in Outer Space' is a funny children's movie that projects an educational theme. Starring Barney the purple dinosaur, this movie features a group of school kids, who wish to meet a mysterious girl on another planet. After joining the astronomy club, the science teacher, Miss Kepler, allows the four students - Keesha, Robert, Chip, and Kim - to look through the telescope. After a mysterious girl waves at them from space, Barney transforms a toy rocket into a fully functional space shuttle and their dream is realized. The rest of the movie features the kids' space travel experiences before journeying back home. The beautifully set movie features some interesting facts about the solar system, offering an exciting and informative visual experience for kids.
