Tekpower TP3016M Portable 30V 1.6A Variable DC Power Supply with USB Port
Ok.. I needed a variable Power Supply for my test bench, but was also hoping for portability. While shopping around, I ran across this Tekpower TP3016M Portable power supply.. It has some drawbacks, but I was aware of them before purchasing, and I think I can live with those.. Namely the ZERO volt setting is NOT Zero volts out, and it is a Switch Mode Power Supply (not linear). Addiionally, the RED and BLACK leads that come with the PSU are defenitely NOT Pro quality, and probably will not last long.. But they are usable, and can easily be repaired or replaced when they fail. Otherwise, online reviews were positive, it has TWO USB outputs, is highly portable, is very easy to adjust and use, and has a LARGE easy to read display I checked the output with my calibrated voltmeter (I ... It may not displace bigger / more capable power supplies on my workbench, but most probably I'll use it more often than those, based on ease of use, and it's portability. Get one - I'm glad I did.

Space saving but pricey
This power supply is very well made. You need one if you frequently start on small projects right next to your computer and book stacks instead of going to your regular workshop. It is rather expensive though for an output current of only 1.6A. I gave it four stars because it is expensive and has no power switch.
