Excellent translation
This translation is not the most commonly seen, but I consider it beautifully written. For example, the first book (section) is "Thoughts Helpful in The Life of the Soul" as opposed to the more common "Helpful Counsels of the Spiritual Life".

Imitation of Christ
I was looking for a devotional book with some "meat". I have found it in this centuries old book by Thomas a Kempis. Every entry I have read so far has given me food for thought on ways to keep myself grounded. I highly recommend this for any Christian, but especially for mature ones.
