Somewhat crude, but functionally good
Like most controllers of this type, the user interface is crude and the battery indicator lights when not charging are a joke. That said, it does what it's supposed to do. For the price, the variety of system voltages, pv voltage input range, and MPPT function amount to a pretty good value. I had to go with the Tristar for it's high input voltage and to squeak out just over 1kW at 24V.
