great replacement
It was a little strong to slip over the case so I placed a 1/64 shim under it and it worked fine. With out this part I would have to heat treated the old part to get it work and that would have been a poor fix. With out this part for your gun all you have is a paper weight.

Should be factory standard
I now have three of these better designed triggers on my SIG 229 and two 226 models. This trigger should be standard equipment on all DA/SA SIG pistols from the factory as it makes the guns easier to operate in the double action mode. SIG pistols do not have the best double action pulls in stock form and the shorter trigger gives shooters with average sized hands more leverage to fire that initial shot. The current thick factory trigger should be optional for those with large hands or very long fingers. The thick trigger is fine for those who shoot single action only. The cost of this part is rather steep considering it's not very hard to make, but then SIG pistols are quite expensive, so it's all relative.I now have three of these better designed triggers on my SIG 229 and two 226 models. Nice upgrade to older sig pistol.
Perfect addition to my classic sig p229, made in 1995. I had put in a short reset trigger kit, and while that was amazing, the addition of the short reach trigger made it even better, especially if you wear gloves or want even more control over a fast draw situation.
