I converted a nipple waterer with these cups. The cups have a smaller diameter tube that fits though the holes. That tube is long enough to accommodate a quarter inch rubber washer and a metric nut and we applied silicone to the outside. I'm thinking the cups could be screwed through a smaller hole if drilled to fit rather than retrofitting. I bought enough to try that next year. The chickens took to the cups readily as opposed to the nipples.

Works as advertised, A+++ seller! Make sure to follow the instructions and for pullets and larger the water system off the ground at least 7 inches! Mine has watered 6 chickens for a minimum of 2 weeks. Note to users: for chicks, continuously move the waterers up to chest height until they are pullets.

What a serious time saver. Keeps my chickens in fresh water anytime of the day or night. I got extravagant and bought pvc 1/2" tees and 1/2" slip x 3/8" threaded and mounted on my pens wall with a garden hose feeding them. I highly recommend these. The price is awesome also. Paid way too much for them on way fair and still haven't received my pkg.
