Vendor communication and reply to queries were exceptional. Product worked like a charm. Valve was located under 6" dirt and grass about 40 feet from where we suspected it was. Still, no problem hearing the actuator- sounded similar to the thump-thump-thump of a distant helicopter rotor. And final location was using a hand placed on the turf to feel for the vibration of the thumping solenoid valve.

This device really works. One of the irrigation zones would not shut off even when I turned off the controller. We shut off the water & attached this device. I heard immediate loud clicking. Now I have found my missing valve. The problem now is it is under a paver stone patio. We are going to have rip out part of the patio to replace it. I was able to hear the solenoid clicking under a 2 inch thick cement paver stone.. Again this device works great.

Worked great. The lid of the first box was buried almost 1' deep, and the valve was almost 1.5' down from the surface. Still easily audible. Others closer to the surface were even louder.
