    Franklin Croquet Set

    Pretty good starter set. If you are new to the game it is an ok place to start. If you find that you like the game, get a better quality set. The carry bag is to small to fit the set, unless you take the clubs apart - but then they don't go back together very well. The wickets are really flimsy, The balls are lightweight and small. Overall, this set is kinda cheap. I would not buy it again.

    A poor excuse for a croquet set

    I'm glad I have the chance to say a few words about the croquet set! It looks attractive, but it is completely useless for playing on anything but on the greens of a golf course. And even there, it would be a challenge to hit the balls with any accuracy and conviction. The mallets are much too light. That's the main problem. All the components are clearly made on the cheap, from the flimsy wire loops, to the wimpy stakes. In short, I found the set unusable. I donated it to Goodwill, but feel a little guilty doing so, because anyone who buys it will be disappointed.

    Croquet!

    Very good quality! Wires are even vinyl coated. Mallets are stained and painted well. Even comes in a nice carrying case. Remembered this family game from childhood- excellant quality item.

    Awesome value for the price!

    After shopping online for croquet set (for several days), I determined that most sets are very cheap (and terribly made) or crazily expensive (and created for the most gifted of croquet gods). I wanted to purchase one for a family member who may only play it once in a while, but I didn't want it to fall apart on them! I ended up purchasing this set of course, and I am very pleased. It came with everything needed for a game of croquet with up to six people - the (6)mallets are two part, with the shaft and the head to be assembled upon play, the (6)balls which feel like a good weight, (2) stakes,(9) wire wickets, a set of instructions (very happy about that) and a nice carrying bag. Everything looks very glossy and polished - its lovely. Although it will not be used until Christmas, I feel ...

    Decent set but do not mistake the word Intermediate for Robust

    Says it is an intermediate set, I thought that would mean more robust, but it is the same build as comparable products from wal-mart just stained darker, we play most evenings two to three times with a 13, 11, and 10 year old kids and it seems to be holding up pretty well so far.
