    Hot and Sleek

    This is well made. Easy to clean. Unlike Cuisinart and other brands I have tried, this gets the coffee to the right (hot) temperature. And It allows you to preheat the water to get it even hotter. The only drawback is that it takes a long time to brew a cup. You can't have everything. If you like it hot, then you will be fine with this brand. If you want it fast ... go elsewhere. I'll stay right here, thanks.

    Coffee maker worked good for only one week now it’s not getting the full amount of coffee and it takes a long time to brew and is not very hot don’t waste your money on this product

    Love my Hamilton Beach Single Serve Coffee Maker

    I bought this same coffee maker several years ago and used it until it totally fell apart (can't remember why but it lasted forever of very heavy use). I bought another coffee maker off the shelf and I'm fine with it and still use it but, boy, did I miss my little Hamilton Beach Single Serve Coffee Maker because it was perfect. I'm making myself a cup of coffee right now. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants a good cup of coffee without any hassles or any nonsense with that pod nonsense. Fill the cup you plan to use with water and pour it into the coffee maker and put at most 2T of coffee in the reusable filter basket, put the cup underneath the filter, and hit the button. Perfect.

    Great price, excellent buy.

    This is our second one we've bought. after years of use several parts of the coffee maker had begun to deteriorate a bit, slowing the brewing process. We were going to replace parts of the maker when I found this one for half the price that we originally paid. Now we can donate the working original one and use this one for another 6 or 7 years. It is small on your counter, makes excellent coffee, is easy to clean and you don't have to throw away half a pot of coffee every other day.

    Nice coffeemaker that doesn't use pods

    This is my second 49981A coffeemaker, the first one broke after 4 years. It's hard to find a single-cup maker that doesn't use pods. I wanted a single-cup maker with a permanent filter. Sure pods are more convenient but I hated the waste they produce, and like having more choice to use the coffee I like. The 49981A makes a nice cup of coffee and is consistent. I was pleased to find the same model still available after four years. It does its job well.
