Good for some laughs, but not memorable. South Park 3
I purchased South Park Season 3 on DVD because I have been a South Park fan for many years, but was not familiar with many of the episodes from this season. The content and subjects of the episodes were funny, but not as good as the topics and material in the more recent seasons. I watched the whole season after I received the item, but found that I didn't really want to go back and watch many of the episodes again...they just weren't that funny or memorable. In the later seasons, there are many episodes that I really enjoy watching more than once. This is a good season to own, especially if you are trying to collect all seasons. Just like the Simpsons, the first two seasons of South Park a classic but the third season is really where they begin to hone in on the characters & make fantastic episodes. Plus, the mini-commentaries by Trey Parker & Matt Stone are perfect, they're only a few minutes long at most but too the point. They're entertaining & are short enough where you can listen to them at first, then continue listening to the regular audio for the rest of the episode with the commentary fresh in mind... brilliant. Best of all, this season has my favorite South Park song of all time with the Dreidel medley on "Mr. Hanky's Christmas Classics".
