Great solder from reputable manufacturer. Awesome value at $2 per tube.
First some background, my wireless Logitech mouse M510 started developing double click issues on the left button. This is not uncommon for mice especially if it's been used for several years of gaming. I've gone through several mice like that in the past and I did not want to buy yet another mouse replacement. Instead I opted to just replace the cheap chinese omron switch inside with a Japan omron (D2F-01F) which is much cheaper. I did my due diligence on what solder to get since this is my first soldering and repair project. I initially looked at the cheap chinese no-name brand solder but decided against it after watching youtube reviews on it and reading electronic forum feedback. I narrowed it down to solder from either MG Chemicals or Kester, two reputable manufacturers known to put ... I eventually settled with MG Chemicals because at $1.96 per tube it's too good of a value to pass up; it's not even that much more expensive than Chinese generic brand! The physical dimensions of the solder coil comes out to ~125mm in length and 10mm in diameter with wire thickness of ~0.8mm. Doing the math this is about 16 feet of solder if unwound. Using this solder to replace the omron switch in my mouse it was quite easy to work with. Did not need any extra flux or anything like that. And I have enough solder left over for any future projects like this if I need. Highly recommend this solder especially at this price.
