    great series just keeps getting better

    This is one of the many high-quality series coming from Australia. Wonderful characters, writing, locations, photography. Dr. Blake is a highly-opinionated, deeply engaged, compassionate man who cares greatly for his chosen family of friends -- especially his house-keeper. I love the Australian Victorian architecture one sees throughout. I had very quick delivery from Australia to US.

    Season 4 Dr. Blake import

    I have been so happy since buying a multi-region DVD player, to be able to see imported DVD series like the Doctor Blake Mysteries. This set is an Australian import in Region 4, and is the most current season of the show. It's great that the doctor and his housekeeper have become a romantic item, as that was always the undercurrent of the show, besides the great storyline of his interesting coroner duties and personal life. A really well written show.

    Be careful of the region code

    I failed to note that the DVD had a Region 4 code which means that the DVD is unplayable in North America. A DVD needs to have a Region 1 area code to be able to be played in the US.
