I was extremely pleased with the Sig Sauer Romeo7 red dot sight. The box it is packed in is of top quality material and offers very good protection for the sight. There were two things that came with the sight that I was not sure would be included. The first is it does come with two flip covers to protect the lenses. The second is it comes with a ‘kill flash’ screen that screws into the opening in the front of the sight. I like that it uses one ‘AA’ battery that is included, rather than a type of battery that is difficult to find. It comes with two different mounting devices. One is a quick disconnect mount that co-witnesses with the iron sights on an AR-15. The other allows for a lower mounting of the sight. The automatic shut-off of the red-dot is very convenient as I leave the ... I was extremely pleased with the Sig Sauer Romeo7 red dot sight. The automatic shut-off of the red-dot is very convenient as I leave the sight set to the intensity I want, and when the carbine is picked up it is on before I have a chance to look through the sight. The one thing I did not care for was the two rubber straps that are attached to the sight adjustment caps. Those straps make it difficult to remove the caps to make adjustments. After I removed them I realized the portion around the adjustment post is what forms the seal between the cap and the sight body. To regain a seal between the cap and the body I installed a #21 O-ring on each of the adjustment posts. I have used the sight and so far it holds the zero I have set without any variations in the settings. This is a good piece of equipment at a decent price.

The Romeo 7 is a very solid unit. The most notable features, to me, are: It is relatively compact. The battery is easily accessible, without having to remove the unit from the firearm, and with a 65,000 hour life! The adjustment dials are turret protected. The MOTAC innovation is Fantastic. Would not buy a unit without it. And, a nice touch is supplying good quality scope caps with the unit. I like the range of dot intensity. The higher intensity settings are, very slightly, "fuzzy" but not a big deal. (If I want a higher setting with a crisp dot I, simply, put up the back peep up which takes the "fuzz" out of the sight picture. I own an EOtech, which I am fond of, however, I replaced it with a second Romeo 7! The Romeo 7 is a very solid unit. The most notable features, to me, are: It is relatively compact. One of the best 30mm red dots for its price point
I bought this optic because it had similar specs to the Aimpoint Comp4 I was issued on my military rifle. Most average people can't afford a $800. Sig makes a quality product that is durable and has a great battery life. The Sig Romeo 7 works just as well as my Comp4 for its price point.

Great red dot scope
Scope is a great addition to an AR. The 2 minute dot gives very good groups out to 200 yards and is quick to acquire. Only one problem encountered: Scope was securely mounted on rifle with the provided quick detach mount and sighted in. At about 70 rounds accuracy went quickly downhill. The quick detach mount and the two bolts holding the scope to the mount had loosened up. The mount has a nut that can be adjusted to tighten attachment to the rifle's rib and the bolts were treated with lock-tite and re-torqued. No other problems so far. Scope is a great addition to an AR. The 2 minute dot gives very good groups out to 200 yards and is quick to acquire. Only one problem encountered: Scope was securely mounted on rifle with the provided quick detach mount and sighted in. At about 70 rounds accuracy went quickly downhill. The quick detach mount and the two bolts holding the scope to the mount had loosened up. The mount has a nut that can be adjusted to tighten attachment to the rifle's rib and the bolts were treated with lock-tite and re-torqued. No other problems so far.

A++ Red Dot Optic
I have owned three Eotech's, to include the special forces version and owned a Bushnell TRS-25. The Bushnell is a cheap piece of junk, compared to this. Even though, I've been a strong Eotech person; I'll recommend this as a great solution which is just as good, if not way better in the way of battery life than the Eotech. One note is the red dot flared when I first turned it on, but sharpened up nice and crisp within a few minutes of operation and has stayed like that, even after turning it off. It comes with an Energer lithium battery and everything you'll need. The adjustment clicks are very tactile and the quick release returns to zero. Flip your lens caps upside down, so you don't look all "geeked up" at the range. Use the front honeycomb lens, so lens reflections won't blow ...
