    Great idea, hope it works

    Looks like the least expensive guard against books and other items being pushed out from shelves when shaken by an earthquake. It takes a bit of home-improvement savvy to install (screwdriver use, wall make-up knowledge) and a bit of strength to put together (pushing end caps over the tips). We won't know if it works until the "big one" hits.
