    Great headphones.

    Great headphones. Real bang for your buck. The frequency response is very good with excellent treble accuracy. The sound stage is fantastic, and very wide sounding. I recommend these headphones if you’re unsure as to whether or not you should get open back headphones, but don’t want to spend hundreds.

    Fatal flaws

    Just be well aware that "open back" headphones means, whatever you're listening to, everyone else can hear it clearly, albeit lower volume. I covered up the grills with my hands to see how it affects sound...wow. The open back design is the key to the sound. Sadly, for practicing in silence, these are not good. The padding on the cans is...abrasive. And the clamp force is minimal, meaning these will fall off if you move a lot when playing piano. And I simply could not position these on my head in a way that I was fully satisfied. Not the best, I'm returning.

    Sturdy, comfortable, precise

    Seem just as good as the SHP9500 I've used for years. The slightly altered design may prove more durable. The pad on the head-band portion attaches in an improved manner but extremely comfortable and these would never dent your head. Sound quality is high with emphasis on mid range accuracy, not bass heavy but not tinny either. Seller shipped extremely fast

    Phillips OverEar Phones will Outlast $300 BlueTooth Phones

    Not the most expensive or the Best Sound Quality, but Phillips headset are great for durability. Stretch them, step on them, throw them, and they stay together and continue to work. They are the VW of Over Ear Headphones.
