I have to shake my head at the guy who said "Who'd spend $100 for one of these?" Well that's me. I've tried numerous other lights, many good but not that great and they consume batteries quickly. It's not just the expense of spending $5 to $8 a week on batteries, it's the pain in the back end of constantly changing them. The charge lasts for many hours (gone six hours so far before recharging and the light was still strong), no covers to pry open with cold, sore fingers, and no worries about having batteries on hand. This light a cut above everything else. There seems to be two types of head lamps: The small, light ones focused relatively close (for walking or working on things) and the really bright lights that are heavy and seem to be intended folks like cyclist. This is my beast headlamp by far and I have had many in my day and none of the once I’ve had ithe past hold up as good as this one or as bright and the batterie life is amazing too. I would definitely recommend this headlamp to others
