A good bet for the technically proficient. Well documented and easy user maintenance/upgrade.
Purchasing a laser on ebay not for the faint of heart. I would only recommend for those with above average technical aptitude and willingness to do a lot of research in lieu of handholding you would expect on a typical retail purchase. That said, I am so far very pleased with my purchase of an OMtech from Orionmotortech, which according to the OMtech website is a 'sister company'. OMtech has active/informative FB community, good documentationm on OMtech web site, and tons of useful info from various Youtube enthusiasts. Don't waste money on air cleaner - a 500+ cfm inline fan routed outdoors really the only practical solution for weak stock fan. Also a SW or OMtech 5000 series chiller from Orion Motors a solid buy to ensure bulb life. Took a week to arrive via liftgate service, and ... Purchasing a laser on ebay not for the faint of heart. Excellent right out of the crate
I am loving this laser. It seems that OMTech has really stepped up quality in the areas it matters the most. First, the very cheap and troublesome rocker switches for power have been replaced on my machine with a quality lighted push button for power. The emergency stop switch has been upgraded and is of better quality as well. There are no more switches on the front right side, just the USB ports and network port. I'm not sure about others, but my laser came with the tube installed and was calibrated out of the crate. I added the cloudline series fan to the exhaust, as suggested by many, and added a cooler as well, as I did not want the hassle of frozen water bottles, etc. After taking out the crate, hiking up exhaust and cooling, I ran my first test for that was already loaded in the ...
