    Classic literature full of life, you owe the experience to yourself

    I bought this book because I had read three other Kerouac novels, and had an overwhelming need for more, so I purchased The Subterraneans and am glad I did. It's a much more condensed piece of time which fits with the rest of the Kerouac legend well.
