“How to Read the Bible for All It’s Worth” is a challenging and useful volume which helps one interpret God’s Word with new and deeper authenticity

I had the privilege of using this book as one of the textbooks for a college course on Hermeneutics. The students loved the book and so did I and I used it every other time that I taught the course. Thank you for allowing me to share this report. God bless all who experience the benefits of using such a tool! Thanks to the authors, Dr. Douglas Stuart and Dr. Gordon D. Fee

  • GREAT TOOL

this is an excellent study guide and should be read, first, by all bible readers. in it you find all the need information on how to interpret scripture. although at times you will find that you already have most of the tools needed; like common sense, which is compared to exegesis in this book. there is no need to buy anything else but what the author suggest. your level of exegesis will be upgrade with this tool along with all of your other interpreting skills. you will love it and all of the knowledge of the bible it helps you to understand. this is the 3rd edition and is basically no different than edition 1 and 2. the most updated is volume this one, which is a benefit to young teens and anyone who does not use the K.J.V. that much. (which is an update from volume 2) chapter 2 in ...

  • Would not recommend this book. Kay Arthur's Bible Study much better!

Originally bought this book because it was recommeded as a good book to teach you how to read the Bible. Chapter 2: The Basic Tool:A Good Translation, was very upsetting. There is no factual evidence of the B.C.Septuagint. Produce an authentic verse in Greek of the Old Testament, written before (A.D.70)the time of Christ, that any New Testament writer quoted after the birth of Christ. We need to demand evidence before accepting what the world gives us as truth. Lies that are repeated often as truth are eventually not questioned and those that do question these lies are ridiculed. What is the Greek Septuagint and when was it actually written? Are the Septuagint manuscripts Sinaiticus, Alexandrinus, Vaticanus, and others that were written more than a hundred years after the New Testament ...

  • Understand the Bible in ways you might not think!

Although seemingly complex the book easily takes the reader through thought processes that help explain such basics as the need to interpret, using a good translation of the Bible, and different types of literature that make up the Bible. Whether you're new to reading the Bible or want further education and insight this book offers help to all who desire to better understand the Bible. Some wording may be complex to the Biblical neophyte but readily understandable if the reader keeps a dictionary close by. I highly recommend it.

  • Helps to understand how to read the Bible

The information it contains is very helpful. Never bought a book online before very good shape.
