The advertisement for the bulbs made in Japan by Philips. The bulbs are enclosed in an OPTA casing box. OPTA is not the same as Philips. However, the bulbs are labeled "JAPAN." I am unable to confirm that this is truly made by Philips in Japan. These are only ~$20 for 10 pieces, while no-brand bulbs are ~$10 for 10 pieces. I could lose only $10, so I opted not to return but to provide accurate feedback.

This guy is selling products that could harm your transformers. Too much wattage will burn out a very expensive transformer, he advertised a bulb at a certain wattage then sends bulbs with no wattage markings on them, then through investigating and numerous phone calls I find out these are 12 watts instead of 4 watts. avoid purchasing unless you want issues.
