I read many reveiws in magazines about how terrible this game was. It was getting scores like 2 out of 10 and 2.5 out of 10. Well, I played the demo, loved it so I bought it. Well, now I want to tell you about why all those professional reveiwers are wrong. I think the games first mistake in the reveiwer's eyes was that this game is original. It's not your stereotypical shooter like Call of Duty or Halo. They actually came up with their own idea. Apparently, cookie cutter games are in. The story follows a guy who was tricked into opening Pandora's Box, releasing mythical creatures like werewolves and griffins into the world. You are racing the guy who tricked you to Pandora's Box so you can send those creatures back...to um...where ever they came from. The box? Whatever. When you kill one of these creatures, they leave behind animus, wich you can absord. It can then be used to heal yourself, or as a weapon against the creatures. The gameplay is smooth and filled with action and variety. You unload guns at people and creatures, battle minotaurs, fire rockets at griffins and even fight a kraken. Jack Sparrow ain't got nothin' on this crazy guy launching rockets at a kraken. Maybe Captain Sparrow should have tried this technique. The only bad thing I have to say about the game is this. Why does every door in the world have an electronic keypad lock to hack? This game goes overboard. I mean, a door to a closet has an electronic lock. What are they hiding in there? Oh, and one piece of advice. Watch out for the flying soda machine spitting cans of soda at you.Read full review
Got this game for cheap on here. After having played the demo, it appeared to be a pretty solid game. Now, with the game in its entirety at my disposal, Its as close to a rail shooter as you could get without being a rail shooter. -Map is highly inconvenient. Jumping is practically useless. It frustrated me because where other games would find such small tasks possible, this character found hurdling sheets of paper that are stacked too high to be a stressful task. -Uneven weapon damages (one swing of an axe is apparently equivalent to two clips from a 9mm). -repetitive enemy battles. It's as if every encounter was copy and pasted throughout the game. Caught myself asking, "Have I been here before?". -Frustrating storyline. It was like playing connect-the-dots with buckshot holes in drywall and expecting to find something worth the lines. On the lighter side of things, I've spent countless hours playing, starting with the first 2-3 hours that I spent when it first arrived. Yes, it's frustrating and confusing, and overall, not that grand of a game, but it's attempt at mythical creatures in a modernized scenario are worth the preowned value you'll spend your hard earned 10-15 dollars for. Enjoi!Read full review
I like the game because you can do different things and it has different creatures in it
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
Very excellent shooter game! There is definetly no other game like it! Enemies have real genuine A.I.unlike most games! Beautiful game as well compared to most shooters! Highly recommend! Non-stop action has to be mentioned also! Hope you get your copy otherwise you won't know what your missing!
A good game. I have not played it, however I have watched my 14 year old grandson. The graphics are outstanding. The blend of modern times and settings with creatures from mythology was inspired. A good blend of shooting, and problem solving.
