Item shipped fast good seller. For the doorman 38300 the spring tool is garbage. I had to cut the pin out with a sawzall which was easy the I had to Remove the spring so i could beat out the broken parts still in the hinge from cutting. You should take out the 1/2 bolt it won’t mess with alignment then install the pin put on nut after that take a hammer brass if you have one and hit the pin up until it seats flush on the bottom. Once you do that take 1/4 drive 7/16. I have no word space left

    Better than OEM

    This is the easier fix to the problematic door closure bushing that wears out and cannot be lubed. With the repair kit, a few simple tools, you can install this kit and not only fix your problem, but it has a grease fitting to keep it from happening again. Also, it is much easier than replacing the whole hinge as there is no alignment issues with this kit. It should be completed in less than an hour and it will be better than new with the ability to keep it lubed. Sick of the door noise? Buy this kit.

    Dorman hinge pin kit

    You must remove hinge from the door. Support the door with a jack. The tool isn’t that great so make sure you jam it into the spring before tightening. The pin is well made. I used a 1/4” drive deep well socket to drive the pin in. Grease the fitting before replacing the repaired hinge back on to the door.

    Great Price! And Quality product.

    Instructions could be a bit better on how to remove the old pin. But I figured it out. The new pin works great and the door is easy to open and quiet! Also can't beat the price!

    Great idea, it should have been on the truck from the factory.

    Just a bit difficult, a good part and quality. You need to be careful and take your time. Watched You Tube did not remove the hinge to replace the pin.
