York Primary Chain Tensioner
This was said to not fit my shovelhead but it does. I liked the welded piece to whom from instead of stacking them on the bottom of the primary. I figured if I needed one or two shims by installing per the I instructions. What I had to do to make it work for me was zip the the shoe, shims and spring in place before installing it so I could place it in backwards. Then cut the zip tie after starting the bolt. By putting it in backwards it moved the shoe to be center the chain. One side of the device is thicker than the other and just didn't suit me. I also had to grind the shoulder bolt head flat on part of the radius to move it upward just a bit more behind the original adjuster plate. Works well for me and so far I am very satisfied. Primary chain adjuster
Had to put on a new chain so I thought I'd give the auto chain tensioner a try. So glad I did. No more chain slap, much less vibration, and even shifts better than it ever did. Love that! No more adjusting the primary chain and it's so smooth. Why doesnt Harley Davidson put these on at the factory!
