  • Great backup for your buck!

This is an inexpensive, reliable (so far anyway) little external hard drive. the trial version of CREEDO allows you to use this drive as it's own little "Personal Travel Computer". Just plug it into any computer you happen to be sitting at (after setting it up) and PRESTO! it has all your personal files and desktop settings with its own start bar! BUT i don't need it for that and didn't want to pay the extra $40. there are even programs you can download into CREEDO. I ended up erasing everying and installing the latest version of the Seagate backup utility (from their website) (which by the way is recommended as the newer utility is much more versitile than the preinstalled version) and only use it to make sure everything is backed up incase my computer crashes. So far (2 months) so ...

  • ST901603FGE1E1-RK and Real Multi-media TV Player

This is more a review of the units compatibility with a particular multi-media TV player. I was looking for any USB powered hard drive to be used with my "Real" Multi-Media player which is connected to my father's new Panasonic Plasma TV (It does not come a MM player built in, as many do today). The player is the cheapest one of several Real MM player models I found on ebay. The only inputs are SD card (same slot used for other memory cards through adapters) and USB port (no HDMI PORT). This MM player's BIOS supports USB hard drives, though I was curious if it would supply enough power. For price reasons only, I purchased a used Seagate FreeAgent Go ST901603FGE1E1-RK. I got a scare when the hard drive came with a cable with dual standard USB connectors on one end to single mini USB ...

  • Seagate FreeAgent Go 160GB

The FreeAgent Go is a nice backup drive, but the only drawback is that it is not completely user friendly. This is not something you buy for someone with little background in using PCs and backup drives. Other than that a solid effort from Seagate, who I hope lives down their fiasco from so long ago with the faulty drives. Good for the student, not for the family.

  • Whats to say, great drive at a great price!

I was looking for a smaller drive to use in the car, with the Pioneer receiver I installed recently. The deck cant access more than the number of files that the 160GB can hold so it was a good match.

  • Nice small drive

Nice little drive, be sure that you download the Seagate Free Agent software to make it work properly. Discovered it can run from a single usb cord.
