I have a 2009 Jeep Liberty with a MyGig RER unit. For a number of years the hard drive was getting flaky, failing to recognize the navigation database. I would regularly pull over, pull the IOD fuse link on the car to reset the Navigation. I'd tried purchasing a standard IDE drive and grabbing an image from the original and cloning it. That didn't work. Then there were the maps... constantly getting lost in Las Vegas and Phoenix with outdating 10 year old maps. This hard drive showed up in days, is new, and installed in minutes. The instructions say you may be prompted for a password. I wasn't. It came right up. perfect fix if your HDD is bad
exact oem quality … pretty much plug and play … replaced the HDD in my 2010 thought about the upgraded HDD's out there at 3x the price. However figured the OEM one lasted 9 hard years. My navigation now runs fast like new again no lagging no offsetting …. perfect.

An Easy Repair and System Upgrade
My RER system lost voice-activation, phone-pairing and Navigation, but would still play music from the hard drive. It took me about 30 minutes to replace my old drive and now everything works again. Faster music menus and a disk-space upgrade are a bonus.
