My place is old, and only had a 3" box from the prior fan, so I had to go buy an adapter (less than 10 bucks) from the hardware store. Also, after I connected all the wires and turned it on, it didn't work, had to take it all apart, just to realize they forgot to "pair" the remote with the fan. Instructions were fairly decent, but didn't take into account having a third blue wire. All-in-all, pretty great fan.
