The suction isn't really strong enough to suck up bugs though, but sometimes he'll find a dead one & put it in the wrist jar, or under the magnifying glass. Otherwise he just pretends to catch bugs & the fact it makes noise & appears to suck things up is good enough for a kid his age most of the time. It came in perfect, brand new condition from the seller though & was a good value. Looked good enough to give as a gift.
