So pleased I decided to buy new. Simple clean design does what you need it to and the special discount code price of £36 is about what you'd pay for a well ragged unloved secondhand one and don't forget they'd want another £6 for postage which this one included free. Oh and just as a bonus it came with a well written operators/user manual on how to use it without ending in hospital. Compared to the Black and Decker it replaces it's a no brainer.

    Impressive for the price !

    I am impressed with the quality and power of this saw, if kept properly adjusted and sharp it works as well as any engine powered saw I have used. The downside is that it needs to be fitted with a caravan electrical socket so that a caravan extension lead can be used with it.

    cord too short delivered no chain on the item

    i am disgusted with the product i am a woman aged 62 it came with no chain on it andi had to put it on myself and dont know if i put it on right. its disgusting the short power cord barely 18 inches long this is no good to anyone that has to reach high to cut branches its ridiculous such a short power cord. i am not happy about this product especially no chain put on it and i had to do it myself and i dont know if i have the chain on properly

    It's a great deal

    Good combination of price and quality. Surprisingly light, and powerful enough for home use. I bought it to cut down a couple of old apple trees and cut them for firewood. The saw did the job in a very short time. The chain is not dull. I am 100% satisfied with the purchase. It would have cost several times more to call a tree cutting company. But as a result, I still have the saw and apple wood for the barbecue.

    Good value and well made mostly - but you need to change the plug!

    I said it was good quality but there a few things I don't like. It comes with a very short powr lead with a 13 amp plug on it! This is useless and should be a connector like a lawn mower. I removed the plug and replaced it with a simple connector to an extension lead which is much less unwieldy. Then the chain tension adjustment is just a simple screw that looks like it will work loose with vibration. There should be some locking mechanism. Other than that it appears to be pretty well made and certainly doe the job. Excellent value at the special offer price I paid.

    Very easy to handle.

    This is a very good product ,but just did not cut through the tree trunk we inherited. But to be fair nor did any other sawas we tried. So resorted to a wood chisel and nibbled away then gave up. But am sure the saw will be great on another project.
