Say no to the dealer’s install!
My dealer, who also offers these mud guards, wanted $180 for the four guards and they would install them. I postponed this action after the new Kona was purchased until I could check online for the same item but for a much lower cost. I’m happy I waited as I found these guards for much less! Like LESS THAN $30! I placed my order and in a week or so they arrived. I took a Saturday morning and did the installation myself. The quality appeared to be identical to the OEM factory guards. There was no fancy packaging but the product was in fine shape upon arrival and well wrapped to prevent damage or scuffing. The only problem I had was installing the guards on the rear wheel wells. There was not much room between the back tires and fender well to use a philips screw driver. So I bough a 90 ... My dealer, who also offers these mud guards, wanted $180 for the four guards and they would install them. I simply turned the wheels to allow plenty of room for the use of a standard philips screw driver. It took less than five minutes for each front installation. The finish and fit were just fine. Can’t tell from the dealer installation and I save about $150! I would recommend these guards to any new car owner who wants the neat appearance and function of these protective mud and splash guards!
