    Near identical replacement

    My brand new American Mustang Bass had a chewed up truss rod nut. While it didn't affect any actual use, it sure looked ugly. This was a perfect, near identical replacement. The only difference is this truss rod nut has a satin matte finish, while the factory one is a shiny chrome. Other than that, perfection. Be sure to lube the nut threads with just a tiny amount of wax! It's not necessary, but your future self with thank you when it's time to adjust it.

    Should NOT be called ORIGINAL, but for RE-ISSUE instruments ONLY!

    If you’re thinking that this truss rod nut will mate to a 1950’s or 1960’s Fender truss rod, well it WON’T! It only works on re-issue Classic Series or similar modern Fender guitars! NOT ON TRUE VINTAGE INSTRUMENTS!!

    Not vintage but close to.

    The threaded hole is drilled to the Phillips cross. Typical anti-counterfeiting protection for a vintage. Sorry Fender.
