I bought a converter for BMW but received one from Audi / VW that had the cylindrical tip cut off and a conical tip welded on with 4 points and an unprofessional finish.
Additionally, the cone had a dent
I took the converter to a lathe operator to check tolerances and it was not suitable. The tip entering the pump showed a deviation of 2 tenths of a mm (the deviation from the original was 2 hundredths of a mm). The support plane on the engine flywheel showed differences of up to 1 mm .

The item arrived soon enough, unfortunately it it was in the worst of shapes due to bad packaging. There was sand inside the torque converter female shaft and the pin connector to the flex plate was hit on all edges. I wasted a lot of my time waiting for this to end up having to source one elsewhere.
