The Best I've Ever Used.
I've used two Auvio Wireless FM Transmitters over the years, and currently using one as of writing this review. All have surpassed quality in the NH area, and with my 2005 Chevy Impala. I tried using two other FM transmitters in my time, but all either had faulty mechanisms, or the transmitter was too weak to drown out the radio stations. One was a cheap $5 junker, and the other was an Amazon fulfilled product. However, this product can even make it through some of the Boston area, where there is heavy radio pollution. I'm sure it's from the way it's able to plug into a de facto standard DC connector, and how powerful the transmitter can be without the use of batteries. I've never used batteries with this product, nor have I left it in the connector after using it for the car ride. The DC ... The DC plug just needs to be snugged in tight, or the bumps from the car ride will loosen the connection and power off the transmitter. These were/are originally sold at Radioshack, but I think they discontinued this godly product. It's a shame I have to travel the Internet just to get my hands on another one of these. Each time I buy a different kind of transmitter and get immediate problems, I regret not buying the one that just doesn't seem to falter: the Auvio Wireless FM Transmitter. In an unbiased review, the only inevitable issue that will happen to this amazing product is the expectancy of the jack being pulled from ones media device. Overtime, the wires inside the jack will be pulled from it, and will result in some loss of quality. One would have to adjust the jack in odd directions just to keep the sound quality on cue. Eventually, the wires will be pulled to the point where the sound simply won't go through to the car radio, thus leaving one to either replace the jack, or buy another transmitter. Personally, I would replace the jack just to keep this transmitter because there is no other like it that can top the quality, but I'm not a solderer (although my buddy is, and I would pay him to fix it than buy a different brand). After taking the time to actually write a review about something like this, I realized how much I really love this product. The people who made this must've done something right. Some customers may have bought 'faulty' ones in the past, but that's just as expected as buying a car. I pray that when my transmitter dies that I'm able to get my hands on another one of these transmitters, as they never failed me once. And remember: always pull from the plug/jack slowly, not quickly from the wire.

All but useless.
Found out that fm transmitters are not something you want to go cheap on. My son has one that he spent about $30 for an I borrowed it and it worked great with little to no static. This unit has so much static and only three stations to pick from. Maybe it worked for someone but it was useless to me and I wound up tossing it in the trash after only a couple of uses. Lesson learned!

Sound quality is lacking. The 12 choices for FM frequency all had stations using them for me and sound is terrible. Would work great for someone in a remote place where there isn't already radio stations using those frequencies. Does not sound as good as using an AUX port but does function in a pinch and is cheap.

Gets the job done.
What attracted me to this item was certainly the price. It cannot be beat. Not the most stylish unit out there but at the end of the day, it gets the job done. Note: There are only 12 PLL channels available to transmit on which is not a problem in rural areas. But here in So. Cal. we have the dial packed with active channels so sound quality suffers a bit.
