    Great equivalant part for Ideal FF270 Boiler

    No need to buy the manufacturers genuine part when this one works really well in my 20 year old boiler. The boiler is not as noisy now with this new fan assembly fitted. I can confirm It fits the FF270 boiler. It is also great that a small tube of sealent and new screws are supplied with it.

    Excellent Quality Boiler Fan

    Purchased this item to replace the current fan in my IDEAL CLASSIC boiler that seized up. Very easy to fit and came with new screws and sealant, once fitted it is near silent in operation. 10/10 excellent quality, can't recommend enough.

    Near silent running fan

    Fan came well packed. The mounting screws and washers were in a bag inside the cowl so make sure you remove before installing. Fitting is straightforward. It is possible to find instruction manuals in .pdf format but applying common sense goes a long way. The impeller of the old fan had become distorted in the hot exhaust gasses. This had cause the bearings to fail. The new fan ran very true and near silently. When fitted the operation was so much quieter than the old fan - I wondered if it was evening running. The fan was not branded but the quality of the screws, washers, pitot tube moldings easily matched what was fitted before.

    Easy Fix for a Common Fan Flue Boiler Problem

    The Ideal Classic is a simple and robust boiler. It's one vulnerability is that the fan bearings dry out and fail causing noise or outright seizure. This pattern replacement fan is identical to the original part and is very easily fitted. A tube of high-temperature sealant for the flue connection was provided which is a nice touch. Typical heating engineer quotation is over £200. Do it yourself in about 20min for under £40...
