I appreciate these waterproof matches. They look like glossy red tips and light very easy. More easier than regular matches. My Spiritual Group has suggested having these emergency matches. I do have a butane stove. It lights on its own. I am not sure what I'll be needing these matches for. Maybe if my stove don't light?? Or for some other emergency. I want to be ready for The Great Tribulation foretold in the Bible where those not doing Jehovah's will will have no future. I John 2:17. Yes I am a faithful soldier who has been battling the odds night and day since age 14! I truly want to be prepared and ready!! ⭐⭐🏰⭐⭐

NOTE: This is a review of the product and not of the seller. The matches themselves are shorter and thinner than what I was expecting. I will not be ordering this particular brand again. I was hoping for wooden matchsticks that I could ignite by striking the tip of one up against a wall in my apartment, if need be. I'm not claiming that these won't do so, but they are so weak, the thinness of the wood that each matchstick is made from, that it broke in half upon me trying. They are about two inches long and I'm not sure how wide in diameter each one is but they can't be over a couple of millimeters thick. I recieved ten boxes of 40 matches per box.

they do light when wet, but when the match head burns out and flame gets to the wood the fire goes out (have about 2 or 3 seconds of burn time). need some coating on match stick to make it a really good water proof match.

No problems. I kept seeing negative remarks about these, so I decided to check a box of mine out. I think some people don't know how to work matches. I dumped the 40 matches out of the box and sat outside and lit them. 40 matches, 40 worked just fine. Since I was testing, I paid a bit of attention and ended up scuffing up less than 1/3rd of the striking area on one of the two strikers on the box to light all 40 matches. The Secret: Strike the short way. Top of the box to the bottom or the other way around if it suits you. There's no need or reason to strike all the way across long ways from open side end to the other. That is why some people are running out of striking surface. A match just needs a little flick to ignite. Not a two inch slide. Also, the matches I received seem to be near factory fresh and new. Again, 40 matches, 40 fires. I did manage to break two matchsticks ( though they still lit and were usable), but that's on me. I was sitting outside flicking through 40 matches and somewhere in the 20's I was getting tired and bored of the project and wasn't paying attention to grip, technique or pressure. So: Good matches, work fine. These ARE the small size wooden "pocket" matches, so don't expect to receive what are referred to as large "kitchen matches". Read full review
